The Tanzania High Commission in Abuja has unveiled plans to deepen trade and investment relations with Nigeria through its participation in the forthcoming Food and Beverage West Africa (FAB) 2026 Exhibition scheduled to hold in Lagos.
The three-day exhibition, slated for June 9 to 11 at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, will provide Tanzania with an opportunity to showcase its premium agricultural and food products while exploring new business partnerships with Nigerian and international stakeholders.
According to the High Commission, the initiative forms part of Tanzania’s broader strategy to strengthen economic diplomacy and expand commercial engagement with Africa’s largest economy.
Tanzania will feature a dedicated pavilion at Booth 3E06 in Hall 3, where visitors will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of the country’s export products.
Among the products to be showcased are premium tea and coffee, fine wines, cashew nuts, spices, spreads, dips and other value-added food and beverage offerings that have earned recognition for their quality and distinctive flavours.
The High Commission said a delegation of Tanzanian private-sector operators and industry representatives will participate in the exhibition to engage prospective investors and business partners.
The delegation is expected to facilitate business-to-business meetings aimed at connecting Tanzanian producers with Nigerian and international importers, distributors, retailers, hospitality operators and other key players in the food and beverage industry.
According to the mission, the exhibition presents a strategic platform for promoting Tanzanian products across West Africa while opening new channels for trade, investment and commercial collaboration.
It noted that the initiative aligns with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which seeks to boost intra-African trade and strengthen economic integration across the continent.
The High Commission described FAB West Africa 2026 as an important gateway for businesses seeking high-quality products, reliable suppliers and investment opportunities within Tanzania’s rapidly growing agribusiness and food-processing sectors.
Visitors to the Tanzania Pavilion will also gain insights into opportunities in food manufacturing, processing, packaging and distribution, as well as broader investment prospects within the country.
The High Commission has invited investors, importers, distributors, business leaders and members of the public to visit the pavilion and explore Tanzania’s expanding export market and business opportunities.
It added that the exhibition would facilitate direct engagement between Tanzanian producers and potential partners, further strengthening commercial relations between East and West Africa while supporting the growth of African trade and agribusiness.
