NECO Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Advert

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has dismissed reports circulating online that it is currently recruiting staff.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Sani Azeez, said the Council is not conducting any recruitment exercise and urged the public to disregard the publication.

According to him, the false advert is the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to deceive unsuspecting job seekers.

“NECO would always adhere strictly to due process and relevant extant laws whenever the Federal Government grants approval for recruitment,” the statement read.

The Council further cautioned applicants and job seekers to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to criminals who may exploit fake recruitment schemes for fraudulent purposes.
