Rotimi Amaechi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former Dino Melaye at his residence in Abuja.
Melaye disclosed the visit in a post on his X account, sharing a photo of the meeting.
“Governor Rotimi Amaechi on a courtesy visit to SDM today. Arise and Shine,” he wrote.
Details of the meeting were not disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
Amaechi was recently named the running mate to ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 general election.
His nomination came after he finished second in the party’s presidential primary, which produced Atiku as the ADC’s standard-bearer.
Following the primary, Amaechi and the third-placed aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, raised concerns over the conduct of the election, alleging irregularities in the process.
In a bid to foster party unity ahead of the 2027 polls, Atiku later met separately with Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, urging them to work with him as the party prepares for the election.
