Shallipopi Accuses Dapper Music of Withholding Royalties from 46 Songs and Selling His Catalogue

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nigerian singer, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has accused music executive, Dapper Music of withholding royalties from 46 of his songs and alleged that his music catalogue was sold.

 

 

Shallipopi made the allegations on X while speaking about his ongoing dispute with Dapper over royalties and music catalogue arrangements.

 

The singer alleged that Dapper was withholding income from 46 songs, including his “E Don Cast” hit, and questioned how the money was being handled.

 

 

“Dapper nor forget na my laho money Dey with me o, u Dey hold me 46 songs royalty income including my ‘E don cast’ money,” Shallipopi wrote.

 

He further alleged that Dapper took the catalogues of several artistes to Virgin Music and collected money from the deal without properly accounting for it.

 

 

Shallipopi also alleged that his catalogue had been sold and said he was prepared to report the matter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

 

“Dapper you Dey hold me money o, and u sell my catalog now u Dey act confuse, I go EFCC office i go write statement against u,” he said.

 

The singer also alleged that Dapper had lied to the EFCC, claiming he was not the only artiste affected by the alleged dealings.

 

 

“And u go another EFCC office Dey lie for them, you forget say nor be only me u scam lol,” Shallipopi added.

 

Shallipopi also accused Dapper of manipulating artistes, while making further allegations about his dealings with people in the industry.

 

“Jude nor sabi work reach u and u know broski u be master manipulator, u Dey put juju for mouth Dey talk to trenches boys u know what you are senior man, you too pour us spit.

 

“Dapper if to say I nor guide na so u for end men, men mount sha,” he wrote.
