Renowned gospel music ministry MrM & Revelation will be honoured with the Music Icon of the Year award at the forthcoming Anambra Man of the Year Awards scheduled for July 2026.
According to the organisers, the award recognises the group’s outstanding contributions to gospel music, unwavering commitment to promoting peace, love and unity, and its role in taking African gospel music to audiences across the continent and beyond.
The honour celebrates a music ministry that has evolved from a small worship collective led by Mr Miracle (MrM) into one of Africa’s leading gospel ensembles, inspiring faith, fostering unity, and driving positive social change through music.
Founded with the vision of drawing people closer to Christ while influencing culture through worship, MrM & Revelation has become a household name in the African gospel music scene.
The group’s breakthrough came with its debut album, Focus, which featured the hit track Jesus Bu Onyem Ne Fe, earning widespread recognition and launching an inspiring musical journey.
Led by MrM, a graduate of Industrial Physics from Ebonyi State University, the ministry has written and released over 100 songs, including Nisi’m, Akoro, Operempe, Odogwu Wonder, Until I See, At Your Feet, Not Ojoro, and Ekele, among several other widely acclaimed worship songs.
Over the years, MrM & Revelation has graced some of Africa’s biggest gospel platforms, including The Experience, and collaborated with renowned gospel artistes such as Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Peterson Okopi, Jimmy D Psalmist and Judikay.
The group also organises the annual 24 Hours No Limit Worship, one of the largest worship gatherings in South-East Nigeria, bringing together more than 30 gospel ministers in an atmosphere of praise and worship.
