Lagos Police Debunk Viral Video Alleging Restaurant Involvement in Killings, Sale of Human Parts

The Lagos State Police CommandLagos State Police Command, has dismissed a viral video alleging that a restaurant along Airport Road was involved in killings and the sale of human body parts, describing the claims as false, misleading, and capable of causing public panic.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, had directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to thoroughly investigate the allegation.

According to Hundeyin, investigators found no incriminating evidence during checks on the restaurant, confirming that the video was baseless.

“The public is urged to disregard the video and continue their normal activities, including patronising the restaurant, as there is no proof whatsoever backing the claims,” the statement read.

The Command further disclosed that efforts were underway to track down those responsible for circulating the misleading footage. It urged members of the public with credible information about the source of the video to contact the Complaint Response Unit via 09111111150 or 09111111151, assuring that all information would be treated with strict confidentiality.

The police also warned against spreading unverified information, stressing that such actions could damage the reputation of law-abiding businesses and unnecessarily heighten tension in the state.
