Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has achieved yet another historic milestone, as the Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially recognised her for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
In an announcement on its official X account, GWR confirmed:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
The remarkable feat was accomplished during a grand culinary spectacle on September 12, 2025, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event, tagged “Gino World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci,” drew thousands of food lovers and ignited massive buzz across social media platforms.
Hilda Baci, who first captured international attention in 2023 when she set the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has now cemented her status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs.
Among the notable personalities who graced the record-breaking festival were Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of the Ogun State Governor. They joined thousands of fans in celebrating Baci’s latest culinary triumph.
