Operatives of the Sagamu Area Command under the Ogun State Police Command, working alongside community leaders and other security agencies, have apprehended 146 individuals during a coordinated raid operation codenamed “Operation Keep Sagamu Safe.”
The exercise, aimed at curbing crime and tackling emerging security concerns, was carried out in key hotspots across Sagamu and surrounding areas.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Oluseyi Babaseyi, revealed that the operation followed a series of consultations with traditional rulers, officials of the Sagamu Local Government Council, and heads of various security outfits to strengthen joint security strategies.
He noted that the intelligence-driven raid, conducted in the early hours of April 13, 2026, focused on locations identified as potential threats to public peace and safety.
