Nigeria can end insecurity in six months If government acts – Senator Ndume

The Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has said Nigeria has the capacity to end insecurity within six months if the Federal Government demonstrates strong political will and takes decisive action.

Ndume made the assertion during an interview on Channels Television on Monday, April 14.

According to him, ending insecurity is not a matter of complaints but of commitment to properly training, equipping, arming, and motivating the military.

“It is not about complaining. If the President and the Federal Government are serious about this, we can end this thing in six months. All we need is to train our soldiers, equip them, arm them very well, and then motivate them” he said

The senator lamented continued losses among military personnel, including senior officers, warning that repeated attacks on security forces reflect deeper operational weaknesses that must be urgently addressed.
