
Four policemen have been reportedly killed in Nkpologwu, in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State by gunmen.
Their rifles were said to have be taken away by the hoodlums, who also set their patrol vehicle ablaze.
The assailants were said to have met their victims on Wednesday at a checkpoint in the community.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Haruna did not pick his calls to confirm the incident.
A Chief Superintendent of Police, who did not want to be named, however, confirmed the incident.
He said, “It is a black Wednesday in Anambra. We lost our gallant men today.”
One of the Community leaders from Achina, a neighbouring town to Nkpologwu, who spoke on condition of anonymity said he saw four dead bodies at the scene
He said, “I don’t think the assailants were robbers; our people should be careful”
