
A Former Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu had on Monday, received a delegation of gratified members of his district from Ogugu town in Awgu local government Area of Enugu state.
The 9-man delegate had made the visit to the Enugu resident of the Lawmaker, to appreciate his immense efforts over the attraction of innumerable Developmental Projects.
These Projects includes Nenwe- Ogugu- Owelli- Ihe-road rehabilitation project, Ibite-Ogugu bore hole water project, Ezioha-Ogugu borehole water project, Grants and Scholarships, Adult Education schemes, Skills acquisition and empowerment towards poverty alleviation, attracting solar street lights, empowerment of the poor amongst other projects.
The Lead of the delegation, Dr. Augustine Okolie, the immediate past State Director, National
Orientation Agency (NOA), had reiterated that the projects has been of utmost help to the town, the road projects, he said had aided the rise in the economy of the environment owing to the ease of accessibility between connected communities, hence the transportation of goods, traders and patrons had been launched to it’s safest rate.

The water projects again has directly brought a new realm of life in the Indigenes, “Water is life, our Indigenes can now easily access clean and safe water to facilitate their daily domestic and commercial activities”, he said.
The Educational support has created room for comfort in studies, as our students now have rest of mind while concentrating solely on their studies and making through grants and examination payments.” he continued.
The Senator, in his reply said, “it is his great pleasure to bring smiles to the face of his people, it is their right to access basic amenities, it should not a be seen as a privileged.”
He however, gave his word to continue upholding the mandate of qualitative representation for his Constituency.
The delegation was made up of the Enugu State & Development and Management consultant, Chief Paulinus Ofido, President General (PG) of Ogugu community, Barr, James S. Nwonye, Chief Jerome Eze, Chief Albert Udeagbala, Mrs Mary Ebere Okolie, Mr Elochukwu Udeamadi, Chief George Ibe, Chief Alex ogbonnia , President Ohanaeze Ndigbo Enugu State chapter.
