The appeal panel set up by the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress to handle petitions by aggrieved members during the recently concluded ward congresses in Lagos State says it has received four petitions.

The Committee Chairman, Ibrahim Akaje, said this on Wednesday during a press briefing at the APC state secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja.

He said, “On August 11, 2021, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress Caretaker Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Buni, inaugurated our committee to look into issues that may have arisen from the recently conducted ward congress of the party in Lagos State.

“So far, the Committee has received a total of four petitions submitted by Lagos4Lagos, the Conscience Forum, Akinwunmi Ambode Campaign Organisation and the Democrats Political groups within the party; and we are expecting others within the next 24 hours.

“A stakeholders meeting will be held to dialogue with every group with a view to carry along everyone in the party towards addressing complaints on the conduct of the congresses.”
