Kwancham Honoured as Sarkin Fulani Mubi Amid Massive Show of Support in Adamawa

Thousands of supporters gathered in Mubi on Thursday to witness the conferment of the traditional title of Sarkin Fulani Mubi on Abdulrahman Kwancham at a colourful ceremony led by Dauda Saidu.

The event attracted widespread participation, as youth organisations, women’s groups, and political figures filled the streets to استقبال Kwancham’s convoy, turning the occasion into a significant display of cultural pride and political solidarity.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Emir of Mubi, Isa Amadu, stated that the honour was in recognition of Kwancham’s integrity, steady leadership, and dedication to humanitarian efforts across the state.

Also addressing the gathering, Dan Maliki Dauda Saidu emphasized that the title was well deserved, noting that Kwancham had earned it through years of selfless service, commitment to community development, and a strong passion for uplifting others.

In his response, Kwancham expressed appreciation for the warm reception and described Adamawa State as a region blessed with peace and abundant resources. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote growth, unity, and stability.

He further called for stronger unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the state, stressing that lasting progress depends on preserving shared values and avoiding division.

Kwancham also conveyed goodwill messages from prominent national figures, including Nuhu Ribadu, Buba Marwa, and the state governor. He urged young people to steer clear of drug abuse and instead focus on education and entrepreneurship.

Highlighting national security efforts, Kwancham commended the NSA for ongoing initiatives to strengthen Nigeria’s security framework, noting that improved national stability would contribute to safer communities in Adamawa and the broader North-East region.

In his closing remarks, the Emir of Mubi encouraged residents to maintain unity and mutual trust, describing peace as the most valuable asset of the community. He called on the Fulani people to continue upholding their long-standing traditions of integrity and peaceful coexistence.

The Emir concluded with prayers for Kwancham, expressing confidence that his leadership would foster continued progress, harmony, and development across the region.
