The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
The announcement was made via the Council’s official handle on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, August 4, 2025, confirming that candidates who sat for the examination can now access their results online.
“The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today,” the statement read.
Candidates have been advised to visit the official result portal at http://waecdirect.org, where they can check their results using their examination number, centre number, and result checker PIN.
WAEC also noted that comprehensive performance statistics—including analysis by subjects, regions, and performance trends—will be released in the coming days.
The 2025 WASSCE was conducted earlier this year across Nigeria and other West African member countries, with hundreds of thousands of secondary school candidates participating.
Parents, students, and schools are encouraged to access results promptly and follow updates from WAEC for any further announcements or breakdowns.
