Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain calm and united amid the ongoing crisis at the party’s national level, describing the situation as a family matter that will soon be resolved.
In a statement, the governor expressed confidence that efforts by party leaders and stakeholders will bring peace and stability back to the party.
“I urge all members of our party to remain calm and steadfast. We are cruising to victory next year and must remain committed to rebuilding this party for a renewed landslide victory,” he said.
Adeleke noted that internal disagreements are not unusual in a large political organisation and assured party supporters that reconciliation efforts are already underway.
“The ongoing disagreement within the party at the national level is a family affair and will soon be resolved. Stakeholders are consulting and working to restore unity.”
He also directed PDP leaders across Osun State to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
“I hereby direct all party leaders across wards and local governments to begin massive mobilisation ahead of the 2026 governorship election. We are the party to beat and will come out stronger and better.”
