Troops involved in Operation Fasan Yanma have neutralised eight bandits in Katsina State.

 

 

 

The Nigerian Army announced this in a statement released on June 18, 2025.

 

 

 

According to the statement, the bandits were killed during an offensive operation along the Kurfi-Batsari route in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

 

“The bandits’ weapons and other equipment were recovered after the operations,” the statement read.

 

“One of the gallant troops was wounded in action and is currently receiving medical treatment at the brigade hospital.

 

“Situation remains calm while troops’ morale and fighting efficiency remain high.”
