“There Is No Government in Nigeria” – Aisha Yesufu Reacts to Rising Insecurity

Renowned social critic and human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has decried the state of insecurity in Nigeria, declaring that the country is without effective governance.

“There is no government in Nigeria. Terrorists have a field day!” she posted on her X handle on Monday.

Her statement follows a fresh wave of violence in Benue State, where armed hoodlums hijacked a fully loaded commercial bus operated by Benue Links Transport Company. The attack occurred at Eke, along the Otukpo–Otukpa road in Okpokwu Local Government Area.

This incident adds to growing security concerns in the state, which has witnessed the killing of over 200 people by suspected herdsmen in recent months.
