TASK FORCE RAIDS JOS DRUG MARKET, ARRESTS 16 SUSPECTS

Sixteen persons suspected to be illicit drug dealers were on Sunday in Jos paraded by operatives of the Plateau State owned security outfit, Operation Rainbow.

It was learnt that the arrest of the suspects  took place on Saturday when men of the task force raided an illicit drug market located on the premises of Government Secondary school in Gangere community, Jos North Local Government Area of the state

Parading the suspects  at the headquarters of Operation Rainbow in Jos on Sunday, DSP Ajik  Azi, who led the operation in conjunction  with the members of the  Neighborhood Watch and Vigilante Nigeria, said the suspects were rounded up after a a tip-off.

Azi said, “The operation led to the arrest of 16 suspects. Their details have been taken while those apprehended have been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.”
