Rivers Governor Fubara Felicitates APC Winners in State Assembly Bye-Elections

Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, has congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, Ukalikpe Napoleon and Loolo Bulabari Henrietta, following their victories in the recent bye-elections held last Saturday to fill two vacant seats in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted the polls across two constituencies, resulting in Ukalikpe securing the Ahoada East State Constituency seat, while Loolo won in Khana State Constituency II. Both candidates defeated contenders from other political parties.

In response to the election results, Governor Fubara described the APC candidates’ success as “well deserved, reflecting their popularity within their communities.” He added, “It is the beauty of democracy. When the people trust your capacity, they will cast their votes in your favour. I look forward to collaborating with them and their colleagues in the State House of Assembly.”

The governor also commended residents of the two constituencies for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process, underscoring the role of civic responsibility in strengthening democratic governance.
