Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress, Omawumi Megbele — with the stage name Omawunmi — on Tuesday celebrated her 39th birthday.

The Globacom ambassador had this to say via her Instagram handle: “Happy Birthday to me! I’m so in love with the person I’m becoming… Click the link in my bio as my gift if you can’t send it physically… Meanwhile… Notice anything different about me? #plus1 #LDHL”.

Omawumi shot to prominence during the 2007 West Africa Idols in which she finished as the first runner-up. In September 2008, Omawumi released her debut single “In The Music”.

She won the “Best Vocal Performance (Female)” award at The Headies in 2009 with her song, In the Music, and in 2018 her song, Butterflies, earned her another award.

She also starred in some films which include “Inale” (2010), “The Return of Jenifa” (2011), among others.
