Nigerian Breweries’ Iyom Joy Egolum Nominated for Corporate Affairs Leader of the Year at AMTY Awards

Iyom Joy Egolum, Corporate Affairs Manager (East) at Nigerian Breweries Plc, has been nominated for the Corporate Affairs Leader of the Year category at the prestigious Anambra Man of The Year (AMTY) Awards, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to corporate reputation management, stakeholder engagement and sustainability initiatives.

Egolum, who oversees public, external and government affairs, regulatory compliance, and corporate communications across eight states in Nigeria’s Eastern and Middle Belt regions, is being celebrated for her strategic leadership and commitment to strengthening relationships between businesses, governments and host communities.

The nomination highlights her distinguished career spanning engineering, supply chain management and corporate affairs, with leadership roles at major multinational organisations including Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, FrieslandCampina, Unilever and Nigerian Breweries Plc.

Renowned for her expertise in crisis management, regulatory engagement and stakeholder relations, Egolum has played a pivotal role in driving sustainability-focused programmes and navigating complex corporate affairs challenges.

Beyond the corporate sphere, she is passionate about mentoring women and young professionals, regularly facilitating masterclasses on communication, leadership and presentation skills. She also serves as President of the Otu Odu Nri Cultural Association, the registered body for female title holders in Nri, where she champions cultural preservation and community development.

Her nomination places her among a select group of professionals recognised for excellence, leadership and impactful contributions to Nigeria’s corporate affairs landscape.
