New Month, Renewed Hope: Hon. Uche Okolo Urges Collective Progress, Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Development in Awgu

 

The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Awgu on the commencement of the month of April 2026, urging renewed commitment to unity, peace, and collective progress.

In a goodwill message conveyed through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the chairman described the new month as a season of joy, breakthrough, and abundant blessings for all residents of the local government area.

He called on Ndi Awgu to remain steadfast in love and harmony, emphasizing that unity remains a powerful catalyst for growth and shared prosperity. According to him, communities that embrace peace and togetherness stand to gain immense social and economic benefits.

The chairman also used the opportunity to extend advance Easter greetings to the Christian faithful, expressing optimism that the season would usher in renewed hope, prosperity, and divine blessings for families across Awgu.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to people-centered governance, Hon. Okolo assured residents that ongoing and upcoming development projects would continue to reflect inclusivity, ensuring that no community is left behind in the council’s growth agenda.

He further commended the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for what he described as transformative and visionary leadership. The chairman lauded the governor’s infrastructural drive and investment-friendly policies, noting that they have positioned the state as a destination for growth and opportunity.

Describing the governor as a “God-sent leader,” Okolo expressed gratitude for the enabling environment provided to local government administrations, which he said has strengthened grassroots development efforts.

He also appreciated stakeholders, community leaders, and residents of Awgu for their continued support and solidarity with both the state and local government leadership, assuring that the synergy would be sustained to accelerate development across all communities.

The message underscores a renewed call for collaboration as Awgu positions itself for greater progress in the months ahead.
