Dankombo Morris has officially assumed office as the 44th Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 4 Headquarters, Makurdi.
Dankombo, who hails from Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maiduguri and a Master’s degree in International Relations.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has steadily risen through the ranks, earning promotions through dedication and outstanding service.
Over the years, he has occupied several command roles and handled various responsibilities, building a distinguished career in the force. His current role as AIG overseeing Zone 4 Headquarters in Makurdi covers Benue State, Nasarawa State, and Plateau State.
In a statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Ayo Martins, the AIG urged residents of the states under his jurisdiction to obey the law and support security efforts by providing timely and accurate information to aid swift action against crime.
