“Thirteen subjects and 29 papers were affected. We are already in discussions with the Adamawa State Government to reschedule the exams for the affected students,” Wushishi said.
Wushishi also revealed that 38 schools across 13 states were found to have engaged in mass cheating and will be invited to the NECO headquarters before sanctions are imposed.
In addition, nine supervisors were recommended for blacklisting over offences ranging from poor supervision and aiding malpractice to lateness, unruly conduct, assault, and insubordination.
The affected supervisors include:
Three from Rivers State
Three from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
One each from Niger, Kano, and Osun States.
The NECO Registrar reaffirmed the council’s commitment to upholding examination integrity and warned that any individuals or schools involved in malpractice would face appropriate disciplinary action.
