Nine former members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have expressed deep appreciation to Governor Alex Otti for granting them automatic employment in the Abia State Civil Service.
The appointees, honoured for their exceptional service during their one-year national assignment, pledged to work diligently and justify the governor’s confidence.
Speaking on behalf of the group on Tuesday, Mr. Nwogu Chinomso from Obingwa Local Government Area, thanked Governor Otti for the recognition.
“I want to sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to you, Your Excellency, for the recognition and encouragement you have given to us,” Chinomso said, describing Otti as a true leader and praying for God’s blessings on him.
Governor Otti, while announcing the appointments, directed the Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere, to issue the employment letters immediately without interviews, stating that the honorees had already demonstrated competence.
“They have already passed the interviews,” the governor remarked.
The Abia State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Gladys Adama, commended the gesture, noting that eight of the nine awardees served outside the South-East zone and excelled in their primary assignments.
The newly employed ex-corps members are:

Ezieme Francis Uba
