Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has dismissed long-running rumours of a romantic relationship with fellow singer Wizkid, clarifying that he is not the mystery celebrity she once dated.
UGAMA TV earlier reported that Tiwa revealed in a recent interview that she had dated a public figure whose identity she kept hidden because he preferred to remain discreet, even while openly flirting with other women in the name of protecting their privacy.
The revelation instantly fueled speculation that she was talking about Wizkid, with whom she has often been romantically linked.
But speaking in a fresh chat with The Breakfast Club, the mother of one firmly set the record straight.
“Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him but he isn’t the one I was referring to. I said the person was a public figure but it’s not him,” Tiwa stated.
She, however, chose to keep the real identity of the celebrity ex under wraps, leaving fans guessing while reaffirming her admiration and respect for Wizkid.
