The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to family, friends, associates, the good people of Awgu, and numerous well-wishers who celebrated him on his birthday on February 15, 2026.

In an emotional thank-you message conveyed through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Chairman said words alone could not fully capture his joy and gratitude for the outpouring of goodwill, prayers, tributes, and encouraging messages he received. He described the overwhelming show of love as deeply humbling and inspiring.

Hon. Okolo also used the opportunity to commend His. Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, The Executive Governor of Enugu State, for providing an enabling environment that has allowed local governments to record tangible developmental progress at the grassroots level. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to aligning with the Governor’s inclusive development agenda to ensure sustained growth across Awgu communities.

While thanking Ndi Awgu for the honour and solidarity shown during his birthday celebration, the Chairman reassured residents of his unwavering dedication to people-centered governance.
