The suspects were apprehended on Monday, June 30, at Joyous Hotel, following credible intelligence linking them to various cybercrime activities.

According to a statement released by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the raid was conducted after weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering. During the operation, operatives recovered 86 mobile phones, three motorcycles, and a rifle pistol.

  • “They were arrested on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Joyous Hotel, Nyanya in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences,” the statement read.
