Delta Airlines Pilot Arrested by Federal Agents After Landing in San Francisco

A Delta Airlines pilot was dramatically arrested by federal agents shortly after landing a flight in San Francisco on Saturday night.

According to reports, the pilot—whose identity has not been disclosed—was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m., just as passengers were preparing to disembark.

Eyewitnesses say at least 10 federal agents, including operatives from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), carried out the arrest without offering any public explanation.

A passenger, Sarah Christianson, who spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle, said even the flight crew appeared confused, with the co-pilot announcing that he had “no idea what had just happened.”

Shortly after the pilot was escorted away, his personal luggage was seized by another set of officers.

As of the time of reporting, the reason behind the pilot’s arrest remains unclear, and it is not yet known whether it is related to immigration issues or other matters.
