BREAKING: Benue Assembly Speaker, Aondona Dajoh, Resigns

Makurdi, August 24, 2025 – The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, has resigned from office.

 

In a handwritten letter dated Sunday, August 24, 2025, and shared on his Facebook page with the caption “Let there be peace”, Dajoh announced his decision, describing it as one taken “in good faith and in the best interest of the state.”

He expressed gratitude to his colleagues for granting him the opportunity to serve as “the first among equals,” while pledging to remain committed to his legislative responsibilities and the representation of his constituency, Gboko West State Constituency.
