The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against being complacent about his second-term ambition.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele warned that the president’s chances of securing a second term remain uncertain, alleging that those around him have “spiritually blinded” him to the challenges ahead.
The cleric pointed to insecurity and the state of the economy as major concerns, insisting that both require urgent attention and divine intervention. He also claimed that some individuals within the president’s circle are misleading him with praise rather than offering honest counsel.
According to Ayodele, although Tinubu has the potential to secure a second term, internal challenges and misinformation from close associates could complicate his political path.
He further stated that the North and South-East regions may pose significant challenges for the president ahead of the 2027 elections, expressing uncertainty about possible solutions to these issues.
The cleric concluded by urging Nigerians to seek divine guidance to ensure peaceful and successful elections in 2027.
