Wizkid Sparks Fresh Rivalry With Burna Boy, Says ‘They Save the Best for Last’ at Afronation Portugal

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has reignited comparisons with fellow Grammy winner Burna Boy after appearing to suggest he was given the closing performance slot at the Afronation festival in Portugal because he is “the best.”

The comment comes amid online debates among fans over the festival’s lineup, with Burna Boy performing on the opening day while Wizkid closed the event on Sunday.

During his performance, Wizkid told the crowd, “Big Wiz is here. This is why you save the best for the last, baby.”

The remark quickly went viral, with many fans interpreting it as a response to ongoing discussions about the performance order and renewed comparisons between the two Afrobeats stars.

The latest exchange follows tensions between the pair that resurfaced months ago after Burna Boy reportedly confronted Wizkid’s official DJ, DJ Tunez, at a nightclub in Lagos.
