In a statement released by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the government expressed deep sympathy to all those affected — including school staff, students, and their families.

“With deep sorrow and full submission to the will of Allah,” the statement reads, “the Ministry announces the severe impact of the windstorm that struck the Funtua Senatorial Zone on June 22, 2025. Multiple schools and staff quarters suffered extensive damage as a result of the storm.”
