President Bola Tinubu’s Senior Special Adviser on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, has dismissed concerns over the president’s recent meeting with Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing it as normal political engagement.
Speaking on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’, Abdulaziz emphasized that there is nothing unusual or suspicious about the discussions between Tinubu and the former NNPP presidential candidate, insisting the two share a long-standing relationship dating back to their time as senators and governors.
He stated,
“So, the presidency or friends of the president talking to Kwankwaso or the other way round should not be seen as anything strange or looked at with disdain or any suspicion.”
Abdulaziz added that political dialogue is a natural part of leadership, and said the meeting should not be considered a “sin.”
Their closed-door meeting, which took place last Monday at Aso Rock, has sparked speculation that Tinubu may be trying to woo Kwankwaso into the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move that has generated political buzz across the country.
