
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former Governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Ogbonnia Nnamani, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, commending his legacy of impactful leadership and unwavering commitment to national development.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Senator Nnamani as “a steadfast statesman whose leadership and reform-driven governance in Enugu State continue to inspire generations.”
The President lauded Nnamani’s transformative tenure as Governor of Enugu State from 1999 to 2007, during which he played a pivotal role in the influential Southern Governors Forum. He noted that the former governor’s bold reforms in healthcare, education, and infrastructure left an enduring impact on the state and significantly improved the well-being of its citizens.
President Tinubu also highlighted Senator Nnamani’s enduring contributions beyond state politics, acknowledging his steadfast advocacy for national unity, constructive dialogue, and inclusive development.
He praised the former senator’s medical background and intellectual depth as invaluable assets that have enriched national policy discourse over the years.
“As you mark this milestone, I wish you continued good health, renewed strength, and more years of fruitful service to the nation,” President Tinubu said in his closing message.
