President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Lagos State Deputy Governor Sarah Sosan on her 70th birthday, commending her lifelong dedication to public service and describing it as a natural calling.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family members, friends, and associates in celebrating Sosan’s commitment to service, faith, and humanity. He observed that her passion for serving others has consistently defined her personal and professional journey.
Tinubu recalled that Sosan started her career in the classroom as a teacher, where she devoted herself to nurturing young minds and promoting quality education. He noted her tenure as deputy governor of Lagos State between 2007 and 2011 during the administration of Babatunde Raji Fashola, highlighting her contributions to the state’s socio-economic advancement. She presently serves as Lagos State’s representative on the Federal Civil Service Commission.
The President praised her record in office, emphasizing that she carried out her responsibilities with integrity and worked in close collaboration with the governor to advance Lagos State’s development agenda. He offered prayers for her continued good health and many more impactful years of service.
