TikToker sentenced to one year imprisonment for bathing on the street in Kano

A Magistrate Court in Kano State has sentenced a popular TikToker, Umar Hashim, popularly known as Tsulange, to one year jail term for engaging in indecent conduct.

 

 

 

The court, presided over by Magistrate Hadiza Muhammad Hassan at Gyadi Gyadi, found Hashim guilty of public misconduct.

 

 

 

 

Delivering judgment, Magistrate Hassan sentenced Tsulange to one year jail term with an option to pay a fine of ₦80,000.

 

 

 

 

The court also ordered the convict to pay ₦20,000 to the Kano State Censorship Board to cover expenses incurred during the investigation and prosecution.

 

 

 

Tsulage was arraigned by the Censorship Board in June 2025 after he was arrested him for shooting a comedy skit in which he was seen bathing on a road while wearing a woman’s undergarment.
