Surveillance video shows a prisoner escaping while taking out the trash (Video)

Arkansas State Police have recaptured a St. Francis County prisoner with violent charges after he ran off while taking out the trash at the detention center.

Christopher Davenport, of Forrest City, was discovered missing from the St. Francis Detention Center around 7 p.m. on Monday, November 24, during a routine headcount.

According to the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Dept., Davenport was a trusty, and video surveillance showed him going outside to take out the trash and running off at around 6:21 p.m.

ASP said that at the time of his disappearance, Davenport was being held under trustee status and faced multiple felony charges, including first-degree battery, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and weapons offenses. He was also facing additional charges following his arrest by the U.S. Marshals Service.

ASP also stated that on Sept. 19, Davenport was arrested after a shooting incident at the Star One Food Mart in Forrest City, and he was transported to the detention center, where he was awaiting trial.

Forrest City Police Chief Ronald Broussard told FOX13 that officers captured escaped inmate Christopher Davenport in an abandoned home on Farley Street on Wednesday, November 26.
