PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ON NEW DATE FOR FREE FERTILIZER AND AGRICULTURAL INPUTS DISTRIBUTION

MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND AGRO-INDUSTRIALIZATION.

The Enugu State Government regrets to inform Ndi Enugu that the earlier announced Flag-off of the Free Fertilizer and Agricultural Inputs Distribution will no longer hold at Akpawfu Farm Estate, Nkanu East LGA, on Wednesday, 27th August 2025 as previously scheduled.

 

The event has now been rescheduled to Saturday, 30th August 2025, at 10:00 am, at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu.

 

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this change may cause our farmers and stakeholders.

 

FREE FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTION ALERT!!

 

Under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industrialisation will distribute over 40,000 bags of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs across the 17 LGAs of the state.

 

This intervention will:

Boost farm productivity and crop yield.

 

Increase household income.

 

Enhance food security and eliminate hunger in our communities.

 

Remember, in 2024, over 12,000 bags of fertilizers were given out free of charge, resulting in bumper harvests. This year, the government is determined to do even more!

 

Registered farmers are also encouraged to take advantage of the available tractor services for mechanised farming.
