Over 100 officers undergoing promotion examination training in Kwara -Army official

No fewer than 100 officers drawn from various Army formations across the country are currently undergoing practical promotion examination at the 22 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin.

The examination programme which started on Monday involved officers who are seeking promotion from Lieutenant to the post of Captain in the Nigerian Army.

According to a statement signed by Lt. Col. Ademola Adegoke on behalf of the Examination President, the exercise will hold between Monday, February 14 to Friday, February 18 at 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin.

It said, “Following the Army Headquarters forecast of events 2022, The Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army is holding the Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination Scheduled for 14 -18 Feb 22 at 22 Bde NA Ilorin.

“The Officers taking this Examination were drawn from various Army formations in the Country.

“This Examination is one of the steps that will enable the Nigerian Army in career planning of these officers. Today, the officers took Physical Efficiency Test and French Language Examination.

“The examination is aimed at evaluating and improving the military competency of officers within this ranks and to assist the Nigerian Army in their Carrier planning.”

The statement appealed to members of the public in Ilorin and environs not to panic if they see large body of troops within the area throughout the period of the examination.
