One killed as driver loses control and rams car into refuse truck in Anambra 

The driver of a Toyota Corolla on Wednesday evening, February 9, lost control of his car in Awka, ramming into a stationary refuse truck, along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, and killing a passerby.

The driver whose car was damaged beyond repair, survived the accident but the incident led to the death of a yet-to-be-identified man who was said to have just alighted from a commercial bus minutes before the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, 

“The victim is a man in his late thirties and was identified as Ebuka. He was said to have alighted from a commercial bus, minutes before the tragedy.

The victim was crushed, and pushed into the gutter. He died instantly, while the driver of the Toyota Camry who was in critical condition was rushed to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, same as the body of the deceased”
