Omah Lay Declares Afrobeats Is Declining Overseas, Vows to Revive Scene

 

 

 

Singer, Omah Stanley Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has claimed that Afrobeats is declining, especially in Western countries.

 

 

Speaking at his Lagos Warehouse Session on Thursday night, Omah Lay said the massive reception Afrobeats received abroad a few years ago has begun to dwindle.

 

“Overseas, Afrobeats is declining. It is facts. Our artistes are doing really great but the Afrobeats that you guys used to know in 2020-2024, are not the Afrobeats you know now anymore,” he said.

 

 

Omah Lay revealed that he has been studying his idols and looking for a means to revive the Nigerian music scene.

 

He claimed that his music is going to make a lot of his colleagues improve their craft and restore Afrobeats’ global momentum.
