The Obidient Movement has reaffirmed its strong allegiance to the Labour Party, firmly denying recent reports suggesting that its coalition structures in Ebonyi State have been hijacked.
In a joint statement issued to journalists in Abakaliki, Splendour Oko Eze, the 2023 Labour Party governorship candidate in Ebonyi and a member of the Obidient Movement’s National Advisory Committee, along with Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, a 2023 National Assembly candidate and fellow committee member, dismissed the claims as false and politically motivated.
“These allegations are being spread by individuals linked to the fractured and disorganized PDP in Ebonyi State—a party known for its politics of acrimony and constant noise-making,” the statement said.
They insisted that true supporters of Peter Obi are easily identifiable and remain focused and unshaken by what they described as baseless fabrications.
The movement also used the opportunity to thank its loyal supporters, urging them to remain united in the shared mission of building a better Nigeria.
“We deeply value your unwavering commitment. Let’s continue working together in unity and purpose toward the vision of a new Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
