THE North East All Progressives Congress Social Media Forum, has endorsed former Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Al-Makura for the position of national chairman of APC.

Spokesperson for the group, Muazu Hina, made the group’s position known at a press conference, in Gombe, on Saturday.

Hina said, “After consultations within the party hierarchy, women groups, youth associations and stakeholders within the ruling All Progressives Congress in the North East and other parts of Nigeria, the North East APC Youths Social Media Forum, has come to the conclusion that Senator Umaru Al-Makura is an experienced politician and is equipped with knowledge which will no doubt take the ruling APC to greater heights.

“We believe that Al-Makura will offer an open-door policy, and will keep to promises to be made in the course of our electioneering campaign coming soon in all the geographical zones of the country.”

A representative of Almakura at the event, Dominic Alancha, said the former governor was delighted about the endorsement, especially that it was coming from the party’s youths who represent its future.
