NAF Airstrikes Thwart Boko Haram Attack in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Hadin Kai, has successfully carried out airstrikes on Boko Haram strongholds in Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia, located in the southern Tumbuns of Borno State, effectively foiling a planned terrorist attack.

According to a statement released by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the strikes were launched based on credible intelligence indicating that the targeted locations were being used for storage and coordination of terrorist activities.

“NAF aircraft executed precision strikes on identified terrorist structures, delivering direct hits that neutralized several insurgents and dismantled critical logistics hubs,” the statement read. The operation reportedly disrupted plans to launch attacks during the upcoming Eid celebrations.

Air Commodore Gabkwet emphasized that the successful operation reflects the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to protecting civilian lives and supporting broader national security efforts.
