Controversial Nigerian street-pop star Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has rejected a ₦100 million offer to engage in a physical fight with outspoken social media critic Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM) — insisting that only ₦1 billion would get him into the ring.
The feud between the singer and VDM escalated after Portable criticized VDM for consistently attacking President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Since then, the duo has traded insults and diss tracks on social media, keeping fans entertained and divided.
In a video posted on Instagram, Portable scoffed at the fight offer, claiming ₦100 million was not enough for someone of his status.
“That N100m, my fans give it to me. N100m is small for me to fight VDM. Let them give me one billion, I will fight him and beat him,” Portable said confidently.
“You are scared of him, you can’t jail him, now you want me to fight him?”
Soso Soberekon, a well-known music executive, reportedly proposed a ₦120 million prize for the potential celebrity match — with ₦100 million for the winner and ₦20 million for the loser.
However, Portable has made it clear: unless ₦1 billion is offered, fans won’t be seeing him step into any ring.
