Momodu Fires Back at Amaechi Over Atiku Attacks: ‘Cool Your Temper’

Veteran journalist and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has responded to some derogatory statements made against former Vice President Atiku Abubakar by former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi.

Amaechi had, in a recent interview with Trust TV, slammed Atiku for not believing in presidential zoning.

UGAMATV  reports that Amaechi and Atiku are presidential aspirants on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Reports indicate that ADC stalwarts are pressuring Amaechi to step down for Atiku, but the former governor declined.

In his interview, Amaechi expressed confidence that he would emerge winner of the ADC ticket, ruling out consensus.

Reacting to Amaechi’s outburst, Dele Momodu, in an interview with Channels TV, urged the former governor to “cool his temper.”

Momodu described Atiku as a formidable presidential aspirant who would be difficult for Amaechi to beat.

“Mr. Amaechi, in the name of Almighty God, should please cool his temper.

“A potential presidential candidate and possible president of Nigeria must watch his temper and temperament and does not need to attack Atiku.”
