Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised singles to wait until they are financially and emotionally prepared before getting married.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, the celebrity businessman cautioned young Nigerians against rushing into marriage because of peer pressure or societal expectations.
According to him, marriage should be approached with patience and careful consideration, stressing that choosing the right life partner is more important than meeting societal timelines.
Blord also urged men and women to treat each other with respect, noting that the way people treat others today could one day be reflected in how their own children are treated.
“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter, and what you did to other people’s daughters, someone else may do to your daughter.
“Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage because if you rush into marriage, you may rush out of it.
“Take your time. Age doesn’t matter. Don’t marry someone you will regret later because ending a marriage is very difficult, especially when children are involved,” he said.
