“Marching Into Greatness: Hon. Uche Okolo Unveils a New Dawn of Hope and Development in Awgu.”

As the month of March unfolds with renewed hope and fresh possibilities, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has declared the new month a season of unity, expanded opportunities, and accelerated sustainable development across Awgu.

In a heartfelt New Month message to Ndi Awgu, conveyed through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Chairman urged residents to embrace peace, diligence, mutual respect, and community spirit as the pillars for grassroots transformation.

Reflecting on the administration’s journey so far, Hon. Okolo expressed profound gratitude to God and the people of Awgu for their unwavering support, emphasizing that the progress recorded in recent months is a testament to collective effort and unity of purpose.

The Chairman also commended the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his visionary leadership and bold infrastructural revolution, which he noted has repositioned Enugu as a thriving hub of innovation, economic expansion, and modern development.

According to Hon. Okolo, Governor Mbah’s transformative agenda has provided an enabling environment for local governments to operate efficiently and deliver impactful projects at the grassroots.

“Governor Mbah has turned Enugu State into a construction site and a haven for investors. At the grassroots, we are replicating that same development drive. Enugu is steadily becoming the pride of the South-East, and Awgu is fully aligned with this vision through inclusive, people-centred governance,” the Chairman stated.

Looking ahead, Hon. Okolo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to consolidating ongoing projects and initiating new ones in key sectors including water supply, road infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, and social welfare.

He assured Ndi Awgu that flagship initiatives such as the Awgu Water for All Initiative, strategic road projects linking Smart Green Schools, enhanced security infrastructure, and other community-focused programmes will not only be sustained but expanded to ensure development reaches every corner of the local government area.

Concluding his message, the Chairman wished Ndi Awgu a peaceful, prosperous, and productive month of March, expressing confidence that the weeks ahead will usher in deeper unity, accelerated progress, good health, and shared prosperity for all.

March, he declared, is not just another page on the calendar — it is Awgu’s month of renewed hope and collective advancement.
