Man recounts terrifying attack at Surulere club as suspected assailants flee after bystanders rushed to rescue him

A man has narrated a frightening experience after being attacked at a club in Surulere, Lagos, in the early hours of May 25.

According to him, he was seated at his usual spot around 1am while his friends sorted sales for the next day ahead of Salah when he noticed a man walk past, making him uneasy. He said he began watching the man’s movements before realising there were two suspects who allegedly chased and attacked him.

Sharing footage of the incident, the man said he fell and struggled to escape as the attack unfolded. In the video, the suspected assailants were seen fleeing after other men reportedly rushed in to rescue him.

He added that despite the attack, his two phones and a bag containing money from sales that night were left untouched. The victim said he has informed the police and appealed to Nigerians for help in identifying the suspects.
